In 2011, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of “Achtung Baby” U2 re-released the album as a deluxe edition. As part of the promotion for the album, Q Magazine featured U2 on the cover of their December 2011 magazine (released on October 25, 2011) and that issue of the magazine came with an exclusive CD of “Achtung Baby” songs covered by a host of famous names, including Depeche Mode, The Killers, Jack White, Nine Inch Nails, Snow Patrol and Patti Smith, have re-created U2’s Achtung Baby album in celebration of its 20th anniversary.
